Some might have low quality eggs because of factors like heavy smoking, drinking and other stressors to the body. In case of any such problem. When you visit the doctor he or she may conduct an overall checkup and run some blood tests to have a general check on your fertility and also might give you some supplements useful in the beginning of the pregnancy and which may promote egg health. Folic acid is one example. Some doctors advise you to take these tablets 2-3 months prior to conception.

Keep the date of your last period noted in the calendar. Now take the first day of the last period. You might probably start ovulating on the 14th day. For example, your last period was on 1st September 2019 and say it lasted 4-5 days, now you would ovulate around 14th September and would be most fertile till 16th September. So you can try as early as 10th of the month since sperms can live in the female body for up to 5 days. This is not always accurate as the cycles of women vary for as short as 22 days to 32 days. The best way is to discuss it with your gynecologist and also use some ovulation calculators available for good sites on the web. The best way though is to use ovulation strips which are available online and at any medical store. These strips can show if you are ovulating on or based on a simple urine test at home.



 

QUIT SMOKING AND INTAKE OF OTHER HARMFUL SUBSTANCES MAY DECREASE YOUR CHANCES OF CONCEIVING FASTER.

Dependence and usage of substances like Nicotine, Marijuana affects your reproductive health drastically. So if you are planning to become a mother say adios to all these toxic things for a long time. An occasional glass of wine doesn’t hurt anyone though? Isn’t it? Anyway, if you have been using these substances talk to your doctor in your pre-conception appointment. Another important thing is talking to your partner about this, because smoking as proven to decrease sperm motility and quality. So, it would be best if you both quit and aim for better reproductive health prior to conception.
